Walk & Train is a supported walking service designed for dog guardians who need a little extra capacity — whether that's due to time, location, physical limitations, or a busy schedule.
This isn't a standard dog walking service. Every walk is an extension of the behaviour work already in place at home, reinforcing the strategies your dog is learning and supporting their progress between sessions. Available across Newcastle and Maitland.
How It Works
Before walks begin, an initial outdoor consultation is required. This session is similar to a behaviour coaching session and covers:
- An assessment of your dog's temperament, behaviour, and suitability for the service
- A walkthrough of the skills and strategies your dog is working on
- Clear guidance on how the Walk & Train sessions will complement your dog's in-home training
- An opportunity for Amelia and your dog to build rapport before solo walks begin
Once the initial consult is complete, ongoing Walk & Train sessions are booked as needed — providing consistent, structured support that works alongside the strategies you're implementing at home.
