Dog Behaviour Training in Newcastle & Hunter Valley

If your dog is reactive, anxious, struggling with big feelings, or you've just hit a wall with where to go next — you're in the right place.

Leash & Learn offers personalised, in-home behaviour coaching across Newcastle, the Hunter Valley, and the Central Coast. Led by Amelia, a Delta Institute-certified animal behaviour and training specialist, every session is force-free, empathy-led, and built around your dog's unique needs.

We don't just train dogs. We help you understand why your dog behaves the way they do — and give you the tools to support them for life.

Is This Right for Your Dog?

Our behaviour sessions are designed for:

  • Reactive or leash-aggressive dogs
  • Anxious or fearful dogs
  • Rescue dogs still finding their feet
  • Dogs with complex or challenging behaviours at home
  • Multi-dog households with tension or conflict
  • Any dog whose guardian wants a deeper understanding of their behaviour

What Happens in a Session

Sessions are held in your home or a familiar local outdoor area — the environment where your dog actually lives and behaves. This isn't a training facility with controlled conditions. It's real life, which means the changes we make together actually stick.

Every session includes:

  • A thorough assessment of your dog's behaviour and history
  • Practical, hands-on coaching you can implement straight away
  • A written session summary sent after every appointment
  • Ongoing guidance between sessions for package clients
