Muzzle Training
Personalised muzzle training sessions for dogs and guardians who need support making muzzle use a positive, low-stress part of everyday life.
Using gradual, trust-based techniques, we help your dog build genuine comfort with their muzzle — so when it's needed, it's not a battle. Available as in-person sessions across Newcastle and the Hunter Valley, or online from anywhere.
Is This Right for Your Dog?
Muzzle training is a valuable skill for any dog, but is especially helpful for guardians whose dogs need muzzle support for:
- Reactive or unpredictable behaviour around other dogs or people
- Vet visits and veterinary handling
- Grooming and other handling-sensitive situations
- Safety in environments where a muzzle is required by law
- Dogs prone to scavenging or eating things they shouldn't
- Building peace of mind for guardians who want to be prepared
What to Expect
The package consists of four 90-minute sessions, designed to progressively build your dog's comfort and confidence with their muzzle. Across the four sessions we cover:
- Choosing the right muzzle for your dog's size, breed, and intended use
- Building positive associations with the muzzle from the very first introduction
- Gradual, consent-based training so your dog opts in to wearing it
- Practising muzzle use in real-life scenarios — walks, the vet, the car
- Practical guidance for you to continue the work between sessions
Sessions can be in-person at your home or held online via video call — both formats are equally effective and the choice is yours.
